0630 Beginning Quilt Club
Tuesdays, July 7, 14, 21, 28. 1-4pm. Quilt blocks do not need to be difficult to make a fascinating design. The Interlocking Flower in the next beginning quilt will be a two fabric block with optional trim and borders. This class introduces the process, making it perfect for those new to quilting. You will master precise cutting, chain piecing and matching seams while creating a beautiful floral design. The samples show either very traditional or very contemporary interpretation.
Skill level is beginner - no prior quilting experience required, but a basic knowledge of your sewing machine is helpful). The class will feature all the elements of quilting - cutting, piecing accuracy, pressing, quilting and binding. Cost of class is $120
Fabric requirements:
1 yard dark fabric
1 yard light fabric
1 1/2 yard border/accent
4 2/3 back (45 inch) or2 yards (108 wide)
5/8 yard binding
