Under the expert guidance of Guest Instructor Rose Mary Huber Pauls, you will explore a variety of essential techniques that are crucial for achieving embroidery success. Using a new cotton fabric from Moda and some trims from the Fabric Center we will stitch up a custom hand towel and add a beautiful embroidery design. Note: Fabric kit must be picked up prior to class to prepare for stitching.

Moving on from Embroidery Boot Camp Basics, second class in a series of 3, will be Embroidery Boot Camp Intermediate with Kathy Knoderer and Rose Mary Huber Pauls. Rose Mary is answering the requests to return to The Fabric Center to continue to build on our skills learned in Boot Camp Basics. If you haven’t completed Embroidery Boot Camp Basics please reach out to Kathy to discuss your skill level for the possibility of joining this Intermediate Boot Camp. Just in time for that spring weather! A cute jacket to show off your quilting. "batting" is a crewneck sweatshirt (but you would never guess it). Lining is optional, but this will be a great opportunity to try the technique if you have never lines anything before. We'll even include some elementary fitting instructions to make it yours. The pattern includes piecing instructions for a variety of beautiful stars... but my sample will be made from my orphan blocks. This class will meet in 4 sessions.

This class will take you though all of the steps needed in the process of making a quilt: learn to understand the pattern, use a rotary cutter and matt to cut your fabric, piece your blocks, and add borders. Then on to layering your quilt, machine quilting and finish it off with binding. Class project will be a lap size quilt. This class will meet in 4 sessions.

Join Iris as she teaches you how to make the perfect canvas beach bag! Extra roomy for all those beach needs with exterior and interior pockets! We'll be personalizing our totes by monogramming them! And of course in your beach bag you'll need one of the most important items, a beach towel! To make sure it matches, you will monogram your towel too!
